Isabel Fluegel

Hi! My name is Isabel Fluegel and I am a junior majoring in biochemistry and hope to pursue a career in medical research. I’m from Haymarket, Virginia and live with my number one supporters, my mom and younger brother, when I’m home. During the times I’m not reviewing biology or chemistry notes, I love to run or go on hikes with my labradoodle Dakota. I am a part of the Panhellenic community at Virginia Tech and enjoy spending time with my sisters.

My biggest advice to incoming students studying biochemistry would be to remind yourself everyday that you are doing the best you can! It’s easy to be down on yourself when you first enter college with all the new responsibilities and expectations to juggle but trust me your doing great! More specially though do the connect assignments for general chemistry, nothing prepared me more for the test. I can’t wait to meet all of you!:)
