Drug Discovery

A Virginia Tech biochemistry undergraduate student leans towards a lab bench closely to accurately pipette a solution into wells.

Emerging and re-emerging pathogens, coupled with ascendency of antimicrobial resistance, are driving the need to discover new therapeutics to treat future pandemics. Members of our faculty are using a combination of computational, experimental, translational, and clinical models to discover new ways to treat disease.
